Michalis Oikonomakos is the head of the Greek Internet Exchange (GR-IX). Having more than 18 years experience in the telecom industry in various positions, whilst at the same time he has served as board member in various associations (EuroIX, GRNOG).
GR-IX is a neutral and independent Internet Exchange in Greece, with two separate infrastructures, GR-IX::Athens & GR-IX::Thessaloniki with more than 81 members, exceeding 0.5 Tbps of traffic daily.
